BR12
Brass alloy for investment casting with 12% Tin.
The BR12 bronze alloy for investment casting is a high-quality alloy containing 12% tin, made from pure electrolytic copper and virgin tin, carefully deoxidized with phosphorus. This composition ensures an extremely pure and high-performance material, ideal for applications that require reliability and consistent quality.
The high tin content gives the alloy a significant hardness, excellent wear resistance, and superior corrosion resistance, making it particularly suitable for technical components and manufactured items subject to mechanical stresses. Deoxidation with phosphorus further improves the metallurgical quality, reducing inclusions and gases, and ensuring a compact and homogeneous structure.
In the investment casting process, BR12 offers good castability and allows for precise reproduction of details, with clean surfaces and very low porosity. The alloy has a typical intense and deep bronze color, appreciated both in technical and aesthetic contexts.
It is effectively suitable for subsequent processing, such as polishing, satinizing, and patinating, further enhancing the final appearance of the product.
The BR10 bronze alloy is therefore an ideal choice for high-quality decorative items, technical components, artistic and decorative elements, where high performance, durability, and purity of the raw material are required.
